SAVE THE CHILDREN

Posted by Barry
Since its formation in 1982 the Blairgowrie & District Branch of Save the Children has raised £335,000 for struggling children in the UK and around the world. That's about £12,000 a year.

Recent retirements have left the local organisers shorthanded and a group of energetic recruits is needed to ensure that this successful local charity can continue to punch above its weight.

On 1st March 2011 the volunteers who have been running the office and bookshop since Novemeber 2009 recognised the need to become an independent group as the BARRC communication project ended on 31st March 2011.

As a measure of its success the function and presence of the Office and Shop has become widely known and appreciated and so we are delighted to be able to continue with this work.
