Blairgowrie and Rattray Regeneration Company (BARRC) receives £1.5m from TCRF
Posted by onevoice
BARRC has received the promised £1.5m from the Town Centre Regeneration Fund.
After many months of hard and difficult work to complete all the necessary steps by the end of March 2010,all who worked to achieve this grant were delighted to acknowledge this at a reception on 29th March 2010.
The Hydro Scheme and the Visitor Centre are only PHASE 1 of a much more extensive regeneration of the west bank of the River Ericht - under a title of "The Living River".
To complete PHASE 1 and progress with PHASE 2 - which will develop the 12 acres of land donated to BARRC by a local landowner - a target of a further £1,000,000 has been set.
The Fundraising strategy and the delivery of this target is currently being discussed.
